About Us Canadian Eh keeps commercial kitchens safe, clean, and inspection-ready. We service restaurants, food service operations, and commercial facilities across Calgary and the Bow Valley, and we take pride in doing the job right the first time. We're growing and looking for a reliable, hands-on Lead Hand to help run our crews in the field.

The Role As Lead Hand, you'll work alongside the crew while taking responsibility for job quality via digital reports, safety, and keeping each shift on track. You'll be the go-to person on site for our technicians and a trusted point of contact for our clients.

What You'll Do

- Lead and work alongside a small crew on kitchen exhaust hood, duct, and fan cleaning
- Service and pump out grease traps and interceptors
- Perform minor drain work. Major drain work over time and with experience
- Pressure wash commercial kitchens, exterior pads, dumpster areas, and equipment
- Set up job sites safely, including protecting client equipment and surfaces
- Make sure work meets fire code and inspection standards, and complete service reports with before-and-after photos
- Train and support newer technicians on proper methods and secure work practices
- Keep trucks, pressure washers, and equipment clean, stocked, and maintained
- Communicate professionally with clients and flag any issues or extra work needed

What We're Looking For





- 2+ years of experience in hood vent cleaning, grease trap servicing, pressure washing, or a related trade
- Previous lead hand or crew lead experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices, ladder and roof safety, and chemical handling
- Valid BC driver's licence and a reliable work history
- Ability to work at heights, in tight spaces, and in hot or wet conditions
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for a full shift
- Flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, and weekends (most kitchens are cleaned after closing)
- A positive attitude, good communication, and pride in your work

Certifications That Will Boost Your Rate

- IKECA certification (CECT, CECS, or similar) or equivalent industry training
- Working knowledge of NFPA 96 standards
- WHMIS
- Occupational First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Awareness

What We Offer

- $28.00 – $35.00 per hour based on experience and certifications
