Maple Peak Property Management
Edmonton
About the Role
Maple Peak is a boutique, owner-operated multifamily property management company. We are looking for a self-motivated Leasing Agent to take prospective tenants from first showing through to move-in. Listings, inquiries and lead capture are handled through Leasey AI, so your time is spent where you add the most value: meeting people, showing suites, evaluating applicants and getting the right tenants placed quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Showings
- Set and manage your availability for showings in the scheduling system
- Familiarize yourself with each property and suite before showing it: layout, finishes, amenities, parking, laundry, utilities, pet policy and neighbourhood
- Conduct showings in a punctual, knowledgeable and professional manner
- Present suites effectively, answer questions accurately and create a positive first impression of the property and Maple Peak
Applicant Evaluation
- Evaluate each applicant against Maple Peak's screening criteria, including income, credit, references and rental history
- Keep transparent, factual notes on every showing and applicant so decisions are documented and defensible
- Move applications through each stage of the application process promptly
- Make recommendations for approval in accordance with the Alberta Human Rights Act and the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA)
Move-In and Tenant Placement
- For approved applicants, coordinate lease signing and move-in details
- Complete move-in condition inspections with photos and accurate documentation
- Place the tenant in the suite and hand off a clean, complete file to the property management team
What We Are Looking ForRequired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: responsive, clear and professional
- Sound judgment and attention to detail when evaluating applicants and documenting inspections
- Self-motivated and commission-driven; you understand that vacancy costs money and you act accordingly
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Residential Tenancies Act and standard leasing practices
- Valid driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle, as showings take place across multiple properties
- Comfort using a smartphone and digital tools for scheduling, notes and applications
Preferred
- Experience with Leasey AI
- Experience in leasing, property management, real estate sales or another client-facing role
- Experience in multifamily residential leasing
- Enrolment in RECA coursework
Schedule Flexible. You set your own availability for showings. Evening and weekend availability is valuable, since many prospective tenants prefer those times, but the hours you offer are up to you.
Compensation
Commission-based: you earn a percentage of the leasing fee on each suite you successfully lease. There is no cap on what you can earn, and your income reflects the results you produce.
Why Maple Peak
- We are owner-operators: we manage what we own, and we expect the same care from our team
- Boutique environment with real responsibility and direct access to decision-makers
- A growing portfolio means growing opportunity for the right person
- We invest in technology, including Leasey AI, so you can spend your time on showings and closing rather than admin
- Flexible, results-driven culture: we measure outcomes, not just hours
How to Apply Submit your resume along with a brief note outlining your leasing or client-facing experience and your approach to showings and applicant evaluation. If you have used Leasey AI or similar leasing tools, tell us about it.
We thank all applicants for their interest. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
