Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bilingual Line Cook to join our dynamic team at Bytown Catering in Kingston at the Corrections Canada Training Academy . We serve up to 90 recruits’ 7 days a week in a cafeteria setting.

This is a newly created role designed to support the continued growth and operational needs of our organization.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards
- Ensure food is cooked and presented in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Assist in inventory management and ingredient prep
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Adapt to special dietary requests or menu modifications

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a cook.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment.
- Food handler certification, in progress of obtaining, or open to receive.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends,



and holidays as needed.
- Must be available for 6am start of day.
- Must have Red Seal certification.
- Bilingual in both French and English is preferred.
