Mount Albert
Overview
At Alliance Agri-Turf, the Location Leader supports and drives the day-to-day operation at our Mount Albert facility. This is not a traditional location management or "watchdog" position – it is a hands-on people leader who works alongside approximately 6–12 employees (depending on seasonality), earns their respect, builds customer trust and supports the Eastern Region management team. It is a true jack-of-all-trades role: blending, receiving, order taking, phones, customer support, equipment operation, maintenance and repairs may all be part of the day.
Full-time, year-round, salaried.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership, direction and support to a seasonal team of approximately 6–12 employees. Assign work, set priorities, coach employees and maintain accountability.
- Lead by Example: Work alongside the team, assisting with fertilizer blending, receiving, loading, customer orders and phone inquiries.
- Operational Flow: Coordinate the flow of people, product and equipment. Identify bottlenecks, solve day-to-day problems and communicate issues to management.
- Safety Leadership: Be a safety champion: identify hazards, reinforce protected work practices and speak up when work is unsafe.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Help with equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
- Facility & Inventory: Maintain an organized, clean and safe yard, warehouse and facility. Support inventory accuracy, product handling and loss prevention.
- Customer Relationships: Build positive customer relationships and take ownership of customer concerns.
- Off-Season Productivity: Keep employees productive during quieter periods through maintenance, facility projects, inventory, organization,
repairs and seasonal preparation.
- Multi-Site Support: Work from the Lindsay location from time to time based on seasonality, staffing and operational demand.
Qualifications

- Strong commitment to workplace safety and comfortable working at heights
- Mechanical aptitude, willingness to help with maintenance and repairs, and ability to work across different areas of an agricultural operation
- Valid driver's licence
- Assets: agricultural or agricultural retail experience, fertilizer blending, receiving and inventory, forklift operation, DZ licence, equipment maintenance and computer/inventory system experience
Working Conditions
- Works at heights and around elevated equipment, following all required safety and fall-protection procedures
- Spring (April–June) and fall (approximately September 20–November 1) are the busiest periods, leading a larger team; extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required
