We are an Edmonton-based manufacturer engaged to refinish the interior floors of existing LRT Cars for a Calgary transit client. The work involves sanding down existing floor surfaces and applying a rolled coating to meet client specifications. This is a project-based position with a defined scope and timeline — we need people who will commit to the full duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

- Sanding and surface preparation of existing bus floor panels
- Applying rolled coatings per project specifications and quality standards
- Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure they meet spec before sign-off
- Maintaining a clean, secure, and organized work area
- Working efficiently to meet project production timelines
- Communicating any defects, issues, or delays to the site supervisor promptly

Qualifications

- Experience with sanding, surface prep, or rolled application — flooring, automotive, industrial, or similar backgrounds considered
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work in confined spaces and maintain consistent production output




- Reliability and a commitment to seeing the project through to completion
- Ability to follow specifications and instructions precisely
- Previous transit, bus, or fleet refinishing experience is an asset but not required
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset

This is a temporary contract position. We are honest about that. What we ask in return is that candidates be equally honest: we need people who will commit to the full 8–10 month duration of the project. Timelines are firm and our client is depending on consistent staffing. Pay: From $25.00 per hour
