The Machinist III position produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) and manual heavy machinery, along with other shop equipment as required. Responsible for following and performing quality control activities, along with following all safety procedures. This position may involve various shifts and overtime hours depending on the scope of work and level of manufacturing activity.

Produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machinery, along with other shop equipment as required. Plans, programs, and executes machining by studying work orders, drawings, material specifications, geometric dimensions and tolerances. Verifies program by completing first article inspections. Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Ensure parts adhere to quality requirements. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Completing production and quality logs.





Adhere to all company policies and procedures including health, safety, and environment policies. Participate in training and safety meetings. Perform quality control inspections on products as needed.

The ability to change shifts (day/night) as well as work overtime when necessary to meet production demands. Skills/Knowledge Follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English. Dedicated to continuous improvement.

The ability to set up and operate Mazak and Hurco milling machines considered an asset.

Independent

Programming. Mastercam knowledge is considered an asset. Grade 12 or GED equivalent Journeyman Ticket or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift and overhead crane training or experience an asset. 3-5 years' experience operating CNC Milling Equipment.
