You will work closely with other maintenance team members, our Building Ambassadors and our Support Centre team to ensure all repair and unit renovation work is completed to a high standard , with a focus on upholding our 4 pillars: Safety & Security , Cleanliness, Chance and Community . servicing approximately 215 apartment units across 8 buildings .

Here are the primary repair and maintenance responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician : Coordinate and complete unit turns (paint, drywall, flooring, countertops, cabinetry, bathroom fixtures etc.) Complete day-to-day repair and maintenance work based on requests submitted by residents , prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact , using our tech platforms Routine inspection of building e nvelope and systems to identify and address issues before they become a big problem Communicate with your team and customers to understand issues , provide updates, and ensure projects are executed on time and with high degree of customer satisfaction Work with the Support Centre to stay aligned on maintenance priorities and spending Recruit, train , and support Community Contractors (VIDA residents who complete small‐scale maintenance tasks in their own community, building skills while keeping rent affordable).

Teach Building

Ambassadors the key technical aspects of their buildings (water shut-offs, electrical rooms, etc.) so they can support both residents and contractors effectively.
