Tutor Doctor Bedford-Sackville is looking for qualified and reliable math tutors who can provide one-to-one tutoring to high school students in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Subjects may include:
- High School Mathematics (Grades 9–12)
- Pre-Calculus 11 and 12
- Calculus
- IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) – SL and HL
- IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI) – SL and HL
- Advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and probability
Requirements:
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach the courses listed above
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience in high school mathematics, including IB Mathematics
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to individual student needs
- Reliable, punctual, and skilled
- Availability for after-school and evening sessions (4:00 to 9:00)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes within the Halifax Regional Municipality
Applicants should specify which courses and levels they are qualified and experienced to teach. Please note that this is an in-person tutoring position, with sessions taking place in students' homes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
