Job Summary

Our Oil & Gas client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support refinery operations and projects at a major industrial facility. This role is responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and systems while supporting maintenance, turnaround, and capital project activities. Responsibilities

- Provide mechanical engineering support for refinery equipment, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and rotating equipment.
- Support maintenance, reliability, turnaround, and capital project teams with engineering assessments and technical recommendations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
- Review engineering designs, technical documentation,



and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration is preferred.
- Experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment, pressure equipment, piping systems, and reliability engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and support field-based activities when required.
