We are looking for a Middleware File Transfer Engineer to join one of our clients, an international bank based in Montréal.

CONTEXT The position is part of the IT Data and Processing / ITP Middleware team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide 24/7 support, including weekend support when required, for systems within the architecture.
- Act as the File Transfer Administrator.
- Install, configure and maintain Axway Transfer CFT, Axway SecureTransport and IBM Connect.
- Create and configure file transfer flows.
- Perform backup and restoration of file transfer software components.
- Upgrade and patch file transfer environments running on Windows and Linux.
- Develop custom Python scripts and applications for integration and file transfer automation.
- Implement security solutions using SSL, key-based authentication, DLP and antivirus technologies.
- Work with application teams to troubleshoot complex cross-platform file transfer issues.
- Identify operational and infrastructure risks and collaborate with application development teams and APS to mitigate them.




- Ensure system resilience and compliance with disaster recovery requirements.
- Configure Dynatrace monitoring for the file transfer infrastructure.
- Develop Python scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate the file transfer environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong experience installing, configuring and administering Axway Transfer CFT, Axway SecureTransport and IBM Connect.
- Knowledge of SSL configuration for CFT partner communications.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
- Working experience with Python and Bash scripting.
- Working experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 support and weekend support when required.
- Ability to comply with the bank’s policies regarding attendance, compliance and professional conduct.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
- Experience with web servers such as Apache or IIS.
- Knowledge of load-balancing technologies, particularly LTM.
- Knowledge of DNS and GTM technologies.

TECHNOLOGIES

Axway Transfer CFT, Axway SecureTransport, IBM Connect, Windows, Linux, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Git, CI/CD, Dynatrace, SSL, DLP and antivirus.

IBM MQ, Kafka, Apache, IIS, LTM, DNS and GTM are considered assets.
