About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our spectacle department. This position is for full time, 8 - 5, Monday to Thursday.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong sense of style, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their style, prescription, and lifestyle needs
- Provide guidance on lens options, coatings, and products
- Take accurate measurements for proper lens fitting (PD, heights, adjustments)
- Perform frame fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Process and place orders for eyewear
- Verify completed eyewear and ensure accuracy before dispensing
- Deliver a high level of patient care and customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical display area




- Support general clinic flow and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in optical, retail, or customer service preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- A sense of style and interest in eyewear fashion is an asset
- Ability to learn technical aspects of lenses and measurements
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
