Job Title: Part-Time Art Portfolio Copywriting Tutor / Instructor Location: Vancouver, BC (Remote / Hybrid / In-Person) Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time / Freelance : We are seeking a talented and creative Art Portfolio Copywriting Tutor to help aspiring art/design students articulate their artistic visions. You will guide students in writing compelling artist statements, project descriptions, and essay components required for top-tier art and design university applications.

Key Responsibilities: Brainstorm and develop concepts with students for their portfolio text. Review, critique, and edit artist statements and project briefs to ensure clarity, depth, and academic rigor. Coach students on how to talk and write about their own visual art/design work. Qualifications: Solid background in Fine Arts, Design,



Art History, Creative Writing, or Communication (Current upper-year students or recent grads from Emily Carr, UBC, or SFU are highly welcome!). Exceptional English writing and editing skills, with an understanding of art terminology. Patient, encouraging, and passionate about mentoring youth. Prior experience with art school applications (RISD, UAL, Parsons, ECUAD, etc.) is a huge asset.
