Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, well-rounded florist to join our team part-time. We need someone with deep expertise in weddings, events, funerals, and everyday arrangements—someone who can take the reins as a key holder. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, skilled in prepping flowers from delivery—conditioning them, storing them properly, and arranging them with care.

Candidates must be comfortable lifting heavy buckets of water and large deliveries. While some tech use, like POS systems and delivery platforms, is involved, it is a minor part of the role. We do, however, require flexibility as we have busy periods, especially on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, which may require extra-long shifts.

Duties

- Design and assemble floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products while providing exceptional customer service.
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain the visual merchandising of floral displays and retail space to attract customers.
- Manage inventory levels of flowers, plants,



and supplies; restock as needed.
- Support landscape maintenance tasks and care for store plants when required.
- Utilize e-commerce platforms to process online orders and coordinate delivery or pickup options.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
- Keep the store organized, clean, and well-presented at all times.

Requirements

- Proven experience in floral design or related horticultural fields such as gardening or landscape maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in arranging flowers and managing inventory.
- Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and retail sales processes.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms for online sales management.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience or interest in horticulture or landscape projects is desirable but not required.

Pay: $18.20-$22.00 per hour
