Part time Housekeeping Attendant The George Dawson Inn & Conference Centre is a family-owned hotel in Dawson Creek, BC. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant to join our housekeeping team.

This is an entry-level position suitable for someone who is willing to learn and take pride in keeping our hotel clean and comfortable for our guests. No previous housekeeping experience is required. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Position Details

Job Type: Part-Time, Entry-Level

Regular Working Hours: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Training Requirements: The successful candidate must be available to attend training for three days during the week, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Training days will be arranged with management.

Availability Requirements: Applicants must be available for the regular afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the required daytime training, and shifts during holidays when scheduled. Please apply only if you can meet these availability requirements.

Work Authorization: Applicants must already have valid authorization to work in Canada. The George Dawson Inn does not provide work permit sponsorship and does not participate in regional immigration or regional pathway programs for this position.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and tubs.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces.
- Empty wastebaskets and take garbage to the outside dumpsters.
- Keep housekeeping rooms and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Launder bedding, towels, and other hotel linens as required.
- Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment.
- Clean common areas and banquet rooms when assigned.
- Wash dishes, clean countertops, and organize cupboards when required.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor.




- Communicate when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed.
- Follow hotel cleaning procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Work as part of a team to ensure rooms and common areas are ready for guests.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and attention to detail.

Requirements
- No previous housekeeping experience is required.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be physically able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand and foot movements.
- Must be available to work from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Must be available for three days of daytime training during the week, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Must be available to work on holidays when scheduled.
- Must already have valid authorization to work in Canada.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone dependable, motivated, and willing to learn. Previous experience is not necessary, but a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to follow cleaning standards are important.

This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time work who can commit to the required afternoon schedule, daytime training, and holiday availability.
