Pay: $22–25/hour based on experience, plus bonuses: $10 for each clinic that requests brochures or shares a manager's contact, and $50 for each clinic that sends its first referral.
About us
First Step Men's Therapy supports men and their families across Canada with specialized mental health services. We've just joined Ocean, the eReferral platform doctors use, and faxed every family medicine office in Eastern Ontario. Now we need someone to pick up the phone and turn those faxes into referrals.
Let's be upfront
This role is mostly outbound calling. You'll make 30–50 calls a day to clinics that weren't expecting to hear from you. You'll hear "they're busy," "call back later" and "no thanks" — a lot. If that sounds like a challenge you enjoy, keep reading.
What you'll do
- Cold call family medicine clinics from our call list, working through front-desk staff to reach clinic managers
- Confirm they got our fax and explain how to refer patients to us through Ocean
- Book brochure drop-offs and get manager names for follow-up
- Follow up persistently with clinics that said "call back"
- Log every call outcome in our shared tracker, same day
You're a fit if you
- Have done cold calling, inside sales, telemarketing or outbound call-centre work
- Bounce back fast from rejection and stay friendly on call #45
- Sound warm, clear and confident on the phone
- Are organized and keep clean, accurate notes
- Can work independently and hit daily call targets
Nice to have: experience in a medical office or healthcare sales, familiarity with Ontario primary care or EMRs, interest in mental health Room to grow: strong performers can move into in-person clinic visits and presentations to healthcare teams.
