Responsibilities

Tasks

- Assist first-aid responders in emergencies, such as civil disorder, natural disasters and major accidents by providing medical, safety or humanitarian aid
- Compile notes and reports from criminal investigations
- Complete administrative duties
- Interview witnesses
- Investigate crimes and accidents
- Participate in school awareness programs regarding harassment/bullying safety strategies
- Perform guard duties
- Secure evidence
- Supervise subordinate officers
- Testify in courts of law
- Schedule work assignments
- Co-ordinate work of subordinates
- Arrest criminal suspects
- Encourage the public for active participation in crime prevention techniques
