WE’RE HIRING | Prepared Foods & Specialty Production Lead
Stock & Sauce is looking for a dependable, organized and experienced individual to join our production kitchen in Calgary!
With over 25 years of experience producing quality soups, stocks, sauces and prepared foods, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in food quality, consistency and presentation.
Position Details
Compensation: $20–$23/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with occasional schedule adjustments based on production needs
Location: 5055B 4 St SE, Calgary, AB
Key Responsibilities
Prepare specialty products, including dips, pâtés, compound butters, pesto, vinaigrettes, dressings and ready-made salads.
Lead the preparation and assembly of meals-to-go and lasagnas.
Organize ingredients, production schedules and workflow to meet retail and distribution needs.
Ensure accurate measuring, portioning, packaging, labelling and product consistency.
Maintain food-safety standards, production records and a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
Previous experience in commercial kitchens, catering or food production.
Strong basic knife skills and food-preparation knowledge.
Ability to follow standardized recipes and production procedures accurately.
Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management.
Dependable, punctual and able to work independently once trained.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
About the Role
This is more than a general kitchen assistant position. You’ll take ownership of designated product categories, help coordinate weekly production and work closely with our production and operations team.
This is an active, hands-on role requiring prolonged standing, repetitive preparation and packaging tasks, occasional work in refrigerated areas and safe handling of kitchen equipment and ingredients.
