The Kootenay Co-op is looking for 2 x Produce Clerks to join our crew. If you enjoy working in a supportive team to create stunning displays of organic produce and provide excellent customer service, apply now! We are currently recruiting for one part-time position (12-18 hours per week) and one full-time position (32-40 hours per week). Evening and weekend availability is required.

SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· Knowledge of produce handling and storage.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

· Experience in retail grocery or co-op workplace.

· FoodSafe Level 1 certification.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

· Stock produce to shelves and maintain attractive displays.

· Ensure proper rotation and freshness of all produce items.

· Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

· Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce department.

· Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.





· Ensure compliance with all internal and external health and safety regulations, as well as employee policies and procedures.

· Other duties as required.

Rate: $18.25 – 20.00 per hour depending on experience.
