Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects from the ground up. In this role, you will be the key player responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Utilize industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed pricing proposals.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Collaborate with project managers to assess project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Prepare bid packages, proposals, and estimates that align with client expectations and project budgets.




- Monitor market trends in construction pricing to ensure estimates remain accurate and competitive.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of heavy civil or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Strong project management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Construction experience that provides insight into project scope development and cost control measures.
- Effective communication skills to clearly present estimates and collaborate across teams.
