BCW Property Services Ltd. is seeking experienced, motivated and reliable Property Maintenance General Labourers to join our team. This position focuses on year-round maintenance for properties and plazas, including lawn care, weeding, garbage and litter pickup, and snow and ice control.

We are looking for applicants with hands-on experience in property maintenance and the safe operation of lawn care and snow removal equipment. The successful candidates must be comfortable performing physical labour outdoors in all weather conditions and available for on-call work as required, particularly during the winter season.

Responsibilities

- Perform lawn care, including mowing, trimming and edging, to maintain grounds and landscaped areas.
- Weed garden beds, sidewalks, curbs and other areas; assist with seasonal cleanups and landscape upkeep.
- Complete garbage and litter pickup (GPU), empty site waste receptacles as required, and remove debris from parking lots, walkways and landscaped areas.
- Perform snow removal and ice control, including parking lot plowing, walkway crew duties, shovelling, and applying salt or other de-icing materials.
- Operate mowers, tractors, string trimmers, leaf blowers, plow trucks, salt spreaders and other maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload and transport tools, materials and equipment between commercial sites.
- Complete routine equipment checks and basic upkeep, and report damage, hazards or mechanical issues promptly.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized, and maintain professional standards at client properties.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Respond to on-call snow and ice control needs during the winter season, including early morning, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday work as required.

Qualifications

- Previous hands-on experience in commercial property maintenance, lawn care and snow removal.
- Experience safely operating related maintenance equipment.




- Experience with snow and ice control equipment, such as plow trucks and salt spreaders, and with manual walkway clearing.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Able to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment, including loads of 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Available for on-call work and versatile shifts as required, particularly during winter weather events.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience considered an asset

- Maintaining properties, plazas and parking lots.
- Operating commercial riding or zero-turn mowers, tractors and landscaping attachments.
- Operating pickup-mounted plows, tractor-mounted plows or other snow-clearing equipment.
- Working on a walkway crew, including shovelling and salting.
- Performing seasonal cleanups, weeding, litter pickup and basic equipment maintenance.

Schedule

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with an early morning start. On-call availability is required during certain months, primarily winter. Early morning, evening, overnight, after-hours, weekend and holiday work may be required depending on weather and service demands. Applicants must be available to respond to snow and ice events as required.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 42.0 per week
