Better Truck and Trailer Repair 25 is currently accepting applications for a Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic or Journeyman Truck and Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and dependable mechanic with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and light-duty vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Experience performing Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) inspections is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and light-duty vehicles.
- Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Complete CVIP inspections, as required.
- Accurately document all work performed and record parts used on service repair orders to ensure proper invoicing.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status, technical issues, and recommended repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Red Seal certification as a Truck and Transport Mechanic is preferred.
- Journeyman certification as a Truck and Transport Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and/or light-duty vehicles.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Must have your own tools and toolbox.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence.
- CVIP certification or experience performing CVIP inspections is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality repairs and workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
