Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Technician subcontractor specializing in home appliance repair to join our service team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration units and related appliances, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

- Diagnose issues with refrigeration appliances using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. R600 and R134 units preferred.
- Perform repairs on refrigeration units, including compressor replacements, refrigerant recharges, and component replacements.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure appliances operate efficiently and reliably.
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical systems within appliances.
- Assemble and install current refrigeration units or replacement parts according to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide clear explanations of repairs and maintenance procedures to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.




- Collaborate with team members to share technical knowledge and improve service processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to electrical systems, refrigerants, and HVAC standards during all repair activities.
- Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in appliance repair with a focus on refrigeration systems;
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical components effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of refrigeration cycles, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components.
- Familiarity with cooling principles as they relate to refrigeration appliances.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic assembly skills for installing or replacing appliance parts.
- Prior experience working with refrigerants in compliance with safety standards is desirable.
- Valid certification or licensing related to appliance repair or HVAC is advantageous but not mandatory. ODP for R134 is required.
