OR/DAY SURGERY/PACU FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE JANUARY 2027) Reporting to the Manager, the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, Surgical Day Care and Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit is responsible for the supportive, preventative, therapeutic care needs of patients in the perioperative arenas.

College of Nurses registration or eligibility ~ Successful completion of the Post Anaesthetic Course within the last 3 years ~ Minimum 2 years PACU nursing experience within the past 5 years ~2 years' recent acute care nursing experience ~ Coronary Care Certificate I or equivalent ~ Demonstrated computer skills in MS Outlook and Cerner applications (PowerChart and SurgiNet)



or equivalent Ability to be flexible and adaptable to flex time to meet unit's needs Broad surgical experience required Willingness to cross train and be scheduled in Day Surgery, PACU and Amb Care Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Adherence to Brightshores 'CARE' Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and 'LEAD' Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a secure workplace free of violence and harassment Baccalaureate degree in nursing
