TITLE:

Registered Nurse – Unit Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Active Practicing registration with College of Registered nurses of Manitoba or eligible for registration required
- Relevant combination of education and experience will be considered
- Geriatric and/or psycho-geriatric experience preferred
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication
- CPR Certified required

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Care the Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the nursi.ng service, in accordance with the Philosophy of Fred Douglas Society. The Nurse provides direction and supervision to the unit staff and works with the staff to provide and maintain a high standard of service, personal and nursing care to the residents. May be required to be designated as “charge”.

Days - Current Hours: 1500-2315

Bi-weekly Hours: 54.25

RATE OF PAY:

As per the current M.N.U. Collective Agreement.
