About Oakforge

Oakforge is a boutique renovation company in Ottawa. We run small teams, and each team holds direct responsibility for its job site from demolition through final finishes. Our work focuses on kitchens, bathrooms, basements and select additions, for clients who value quality.

We are looking for a skilled Renovation Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience across a range of renovation trades who takes pride in quality work and is ready to take on greater responsibility. You'll work alongside site leads, contributing to residential renovation projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

- Execute renovation tasks including demolition, framing, insulation, carpentry, cabinetry, tiling, drywalling, flooring, and painting. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC are handled by licensed subtrades.
- Work under the direction of the site lead while managing your own workload
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Assist with tool and material management on site

Qualifications

- 5–10 years of experience in residential renovations
- Proficiency across several of the trades above
- Ability to work independently and follow direction from a lead
- A high standard for finish work: tight miters, consistent grout lines, clean transitions
- Professional conduct in occupied client homes
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Working at Heights, WHMIS and First Aid an asset; training provided if needed
