Job Title: Retail Sales Associate (Kids Retail)Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Retail Sales Associate to join our kids retail store. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, loves working with families, and excels at creating positive, memorable shopping experiences. This role requires solid selling skills, confidence in engaging customers, and the ability to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining a fun, welcoming environment for children and parents.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Engagement

- Proactively engage customers (parents, caregivers, and children) to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products
- Use solid selling techniques such as upselling, cross-selling, and product storytelling
- Consistently meet or exceed individual and store sales targets
- Promote current promotions, loyalty programs, and recent product launches
- Turn browsers into buyers through confident, friendly, and knowledgeable sales interactions

Customer Experience
- Create a warm, energetic, and child-friendly shopping environment
- Build rapport with families to encourage repeat visits and long-term customer loyalty
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and returns professionally and positively

Store Operations
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays
- Assist with restocking, inventory counts, and merchandising according to brand standards




- Accurately process sales transactions at the register
- Follow store policies, procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong sales mindset with a proven ability to persuade and close sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable approaching and engaging customers
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality, especially around children
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail workplace
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Must have own transportation

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience (kids, apparel, toys, or specialty retail a plus)
- Experience working with sales goals, KPIs, or commission-based sales
- Knowledge of children’s products, sizing, or trends
- Possibility of attending offsite events and markets

Job Types: Full-time, Part time Pay: $17.80 per hour
