Come Work With Us!

Fit First Footwear has expanded operations and now operates The Runners' Den! We're looking for a few great people to join our team at our Port Moody location.

We're a locally owned, independent run specialty store with over 40 years of history in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in fitting runners, walkers, and people of all ages and abilities who want to stay healthy and active.

Our approach has always been pretty simple: take the time to get to know our customers, understand what they're looking for, and help them find the right footwear. We believe good advice, genuine care, and a friendly experience go a long way.

Running is also a big part of who we are. Between our weekly run clubs, training clinics, local events, and community partnerships, there's always something happening beyond the walls of our stores.

We're looking for people who would enjoy being part of that.

What Does the Job Look Like?

Most of your time will be spent on the sales floor, working directly with customers and helping them find the right footwear.

That includes:

- Getting to know customers, asking questions, and understanding what they need from their shoes.
- Learning our footwear fitting process and making thoughtful product recommendations.
- Building your knowledge of running shoes, footwear technologies, and the brands we carry.
- Working with your teammates to keep the store organized, stocked, and running smoothly.
- Helping with incoming inventory, merchandising, and other day-to-day store tasks.
- Staying engaged and finding ways to help,

even when the store isn't busy.
- Getting involved in our running community, events, and clinics when opportunities come up.

Who Would Be a Good Fit? We're looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy working with others and are interested in learning.

Ideally, you:

- Enjoy talking with people and helping them find solutions.
- Are curious, open to feedback, and willing to learn.
- Take initiative and don't need to be told what to do every minute.
- Work well as part of a team and are happy to help wherever needed.
- Have an interest in running, walking, fitness, or an active lifestyle.
- Have some previous retail or customer service experience (preferred, but not required).
- Are comfortable working a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.

You don't need to be an experienced runner or know everything about running shoes to work here. We'll provide plenty of training. What's more important is that you're interested in what we do and genuinely enjoy helping people.

What We Offer

- $19–$23/hour, depending on experience.
- Part-time and full-time opportunities.
- A friendly, supportive team and an enjoyable place to work.
- Training in footwear fitting, running shoe technology,

and product knowledge.
- Generous staff discounts on footwear and apparel.
- Opportunities to connect with the running community through events, run clubs, and clinics.
- Opportunities to take on more responsibility and grow within the company.

We're proud that several of our current leaders started in sales positions, and we want to continue creating opportunities for our staff to develop their skills and careers. Locations & Availability:
