Job Summary

Guycan Aluminum LTD is seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our construction team. You will install and repair roofing systems, following project specifications and maintaining safety and quality standards. We are looking for someone who is reliable, works well with others and takes pride in their craftsmanship.

Job Details

- Work location: On site
- Salary: $37.00 per hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
- Schedule: Early morning, morning, on call and day
- Start date: As soon as possible

- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience

Experience 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Location and Environment

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
- Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
- Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.




- Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and project specifications.
- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, removing old roofing materials and making necessary repairs before installation.
- Apply caulking and sealing materials to ensure watertight joints and prevent leaks.
- Handle and lift roofing materials safely.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects while maintaining a safe work workplace.
