Role Description The Sales Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based at Shimoon Jewellers in Calgary, AB. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming clients, presenting jewellery pieces, providing product information, and guiding clients through purchase decisions with a focus on exceptional service.

The Sales

Associate will handle sales transactions, maintain accurate records, and support inventory management, including displaying and organizing merchandise. This role also involves learning the unique features of each piece, assisting with custom orders, and contributing to a clean, secure, and inviting store setting.



Collaboration with goldsmiths and other team members to support client inquiries and after-sales service is an important part of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills to engage clients and support a premium in-store experience.
- Sales and retail experience, including comfort with point-of-sale systems, basic cash handling, and meeting sales goals.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills to manage displays, inventory counts, and accurate documentation.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to explain jewellery features, materials, and care instructions.
- Interest in jewellery, luxury goods, or craftsmanship, with willingness to learn about goldsmithing traditions and product lines.
- Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, including weekends or evenings as required, and to stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in jewellery or luxury retail is an asset but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, retail, or design is considered an advantage.
