Seafood Market Team Member — Full-Time & Part-Time

Fisherman’s Market | Burnaby & West Vancouver

Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour to start, with opportunities for increased pay and advancement

Fisherman’s Market is growing our Metro Vancouver team, and we’re currently looking for two part-time employees and one full-time employee to work between our Burnaby and West Vancouver locations.

We’re looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy working with customers, take pride in doing a job well, and are interested in learning more about great seafood.

Applicants must be comfortable working at both our Burnaby and West Vancouver locations as needed. Our two stores operate closely together, and our team members may work between locations depending on scheduling and business needs.

About Fisherman’s Market

Fisherman’s Market is a BC seafood company with deep roots in the commercial fishing industry. Our company is owned and operated by people who have spent their lives around seafood, and we take a lot of pride in bringing that knowledge into our markets.

Our stores are more than places to buy fish. Our crews help customers understand what they’re buying, how to prepare it, where it comes from, and how to get the most out of great seafood.

Seafood experience is not required. We can teach seafood. We’re looking for the right people first.

What You’ll Do

- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Help customers choose seafood and answer product questions
- Handle and prepare seafood products
- Learn basic seafood cutting and fishmonger skills
- Stock, merchandise, and maintain our fresh seafood showcases
- Keep the market clean, organized, and welcoming
- Operate the till and assist with daily store duties
- Help receive, organize, and rotate inventory
- Work closely with a small, hardworking team




- Support both our Burnaby and West Vancouver markets as needed

Who We’re Looking For You don’t need to arrive knowing everything about seafood.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Friendly and confident dealing with customers
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Comfortable working in a hands-on food retail environment
- Interested in food and willing to learn
- Able to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling product
- Able to reliably commute to both Burnaby and West Vancouver
- Interested in taking on more responsibility over time

Previous retail, grocery, restaurant, meat, seafood, or customer-service experience is an asset, but attitude, reliability, and personality matter just as much to us. This Can Become More Than a Part-Time or Full-Time Job
