About Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts

We are nuts about Nuts! Our company specializes in providing consumers with premium quality nuts, specialty dried fruits, and confectionery sweets.

Our Kitsilano location is now hiring Seasonal Packers to support our team during the busy holiday season. This position will focus on preparing, packaging, and assembling our premium products and holiday gifts.

End of Term: December 25th - 31st

Responsibilities:

- Accurately weigh, inspect, and package nuts, dried fruits, and confectionery products according to company standards.
- Assemble and prepare gift boxes, baskets, trays, and other holiday gift arrangements.
- Ensure all products and gift packages are neatly presented and meet our quality standards.
- Print and apply product labels accurately.
- Prepare packaged products and gifts according to daily production requirements.
- Organize and replenish packaging materials, supplies, and products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary packing area.
- Follow proper food handling, allergen control, and hygiene procedures.
- Communicate with team members to ensure daily packing targets and deadlines are met.
- Assist with other packaging and production-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in food packaging, production, or a similar environment is an asset.




- Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and presentation.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive packing tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Effective time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Fluent, explicit command of the English language.
- Flexible availability throughout the busy holiday season, including weekends as required.
