For the fall, we are very flexible on days and hours and I will be home almost all of the time. I will have a set schedule come January with a bit of flexibility.

Have CPR and first aid
Have several years experience in childcare
Be comfortable with dogs (two small, very friendly dogs which require nothing except being let into our fenced yard from time to time)
Driver's license
Be able to legally work in Canada
Adaptable hourly wage depending on experience and qualifications - $18-25 per hour
Our Parenting Philosophy & Expectations We are looking for a warm, patient, and nurturing nanny who understands child development and values a flexible, child-centred approach to caregiving. We prioritize connection over compliance and believe children learn best through play, exploration, and supportive relationships.
- Encourage child-led play, creativity, imagination, and age-appropriate independence.
- Respect each child's individual personality, interests, preferences, and developmental abilities.
- Recognize the value of independent play without feeling the need to constantly direct activities or provide structured entertainment.
- Offer engaging, age-appropriate activities while allowing children the freedom to explore and participate in their own way.
- Maintain flexible daily routines rather than rigid schedules, while ensuring children's needs are met.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of typical childhood development, including sensory exploration, safe toy mouthing, emotional regulation, and emerging independence.
- Respond to challenging behaviours and big emotions with patience, empathy, positive guidance, and developmentally appropriate expectations rather than punishment or forced compliance.
- Encourage cooperation while respecting children's autonomy, including not forcing sharing.
- Communicate openly, respect our parenting preferences, and be comfortable working in a home where a parent is frequently present.
Our ideal nanny is someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children, can balance engagement with allowing independent exploration, and prioritizes building a trusting, positive relationship with each child.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
