Overview

Integrity Refrigeration and J&J; Refrigeration are growing commercial refrigeration companies specializing in service, installation, and construction projects for restaurants, long-term care homes, institutions, and national chains across Ontario and Quebec. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to take ownership of the financial records for both companies. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of stronger financial processes as our business expands.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with the ability to manage the full accounting cycle and support our growth initiatives.

Duties

- Own the complete accounting cycle for two related companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance from transaction recording through to month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules to provide insights into company performance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Help develop and implement improved financial processes and internal controls to support company growth.




- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements across Ontario and Quebec jurisdictions.

Skills

- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably within the commercial refrigeration or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and full-cycle accounting processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Robust communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, management, and external auditors.
- Demonstrated initiative in improving financial procedures and internal controls.

This position offers a vital role within our growing organization for an experienced accountant eager to contribute to our success story by ensuring robust financial management across both companies. Pay: $59,200.00-$75,000.00 per year
