CanPR

Toronto

Company Description CanPR is an all-in-one mobile application that supports users from the very beginning of their immigration process through to settlement in their new country. The platform personalizes the experience based on where each user is in their immigration journey, helping them understand requirements, connect with immigration consultants, and track application progress. Users gain exclusive access to resources such as banking requirements, job boards, educational institutions, and services that ease settlement in their new homes.

With over 1M downloads across iOS and Android, CanPR has helped thousands of immigrants successfully obtain PR or visa status through accessible, organized information and guidance.

Role Description As a Social Media Content Creator at CanPR, you will develop and publish engaging content across social platforms to inform and support individuals navigating immigration and settlement. You will plan content calendars, create posts (copy, visuals, short videos), and adapt messages for different channels and audiences. You will collaborate with marketing and product teams to highlight app features, user success stories, and educational information, while monitoring performance metrics and optimizing content based on data and feedback.

You will also engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely, respectful manner, and stay current on immigration, settlement,

and social media trends relevant to our users. This is a contract, hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with some flexibility to work from home.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience creating social media content (copy, images, video) for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Ability to plan and execute content calendars, campaigns, and basic social media strategies aligned with brand goals.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the capacity to explain complex topics (such as immigration and settlement) clearly and empathetically.
- Basic design and video editing skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Comfort with analytics tools to track engagement, reach, and conversions, and to make data-informed content decisions.
- Understanding of immigrant experiences, international student journeys, or settlement services; lived experience or prior work in these areas is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a quick-paced, collaborative environment.
- Previous experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or community management; post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field is an asset but not required.
