Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

- Assist speech and language therapists in implementing therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support patients during therapy sessions by providing guidance, encouragement, and reinforcement of exercises.
- Prepare therapy materials, resources, and equipment necessary for sessions.
- Monitor patient progress and document observations accurately for review by the supervising therapist.
- Facilitate communication with patients who have speech, language, or swallowing difficulties across pediatric and adult cases.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment in compliance with health and safety standards.




- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support continuity of treatment.

Requirements

- Prior experience working in acute care settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt quickly to changing clinical priorities.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and professionalism when working with vulnerable populations.
- Relevant certifications or training in speech-language therapy assistance or related fields are preferred.
