Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and eager individuals to join our team as Steel Fabrication Pre-Apprentices. This paid entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the steel manufacturing industry. As a pre-apprentice, you will assist with various fabrication processes, learn essential skills, and develop a strong foundation for a future career in steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

- Assist with cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components using hand tools and basic machinery
- Support the operation of CNC cutting, plasma cutting, Ironworkers, and press brake machines under supervision
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
- Help with material handling using forklifts and cranes safely and efficiently
- Conduct quality inspections of fabricated parts using calipers and other measurement tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency




- Support the team in assembly tasks and basic machining operations as skills develop

Experience

- No prior experience required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical concepts is a plus.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, machining, or metalworking industries
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting
