Position Overview

NCP (National Contract Professionals) is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Front Door Supervisor on behalf of our client, a wholesale produce distribution operation located at the Ontario Food Terminal (OFT).

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in the produce industry and a strong background in team supervision. The successful candidate will oversee order processing operations and ensure the smooth and timely completion of order picking, packing, loading, and customer order processing activities.

The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced wholesale produce environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily order processing, picking, packing, and loading activities.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
- Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and maintain productivity standards.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, receiving, and management teams to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain product quality, order accuracy, and proper handling of fresh produce.




- Ensure employees follow workplace safety procedures and operational policies.
- Address customer and order-related issues promptly, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Train, guide, and support team members to maintain consistent operational standards.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Required: Experience in the produce industry, preferably in wholesale produce distribution or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Required: Previous team supervision or team management experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities during early-morning operations.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with employees and other departments.
- Asset: Valid forklift licence and relevant operating experience.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday and Sunday, from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
