Montreal · Remote to start, hybrid later · Full-time
Do you have 1–4 years of commercial experience and want to take the next big step in your career? Minori is a fast-growing clean beauty brand sold in 700+ retail, hotel and spa locations across the US and Canada. We're looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial person to help us double our wholesale business, and grow into a leadership role along the way.
Minori | Makeup for people who don't wear makeup
Minori is a clean makeup brand built around a simple idea: makeup should feel welcoming and uncomplicated, especially for people who don't ordinarily wear it. Our deliberately small assortment includes just seven core products.
Founded by a Montreal native and headquartered in San Francisco, Minori is sold in more than 700 stores across the US and Canada, including The Detox Market, Healthy Planet, Credo, Beauties Lab and select Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Miraval and Fairmont properties.
We're the leading makeup brand on Faire, the wholesale marketplace where independent retailers discover new brands, and a Marriott-approved vendor, opening doors to hotel groups that can take years to access. We've been featured in Allure, Vogue, WWD, La Presse and Clin d'Oeil.
Why nowEverything above was built by a team of one.
We're entering an exciting new chapter, with ambitious wholesale growth targets, two major product launches, and significant investment in our direct-to-consumer business.
As our founder shifts more attention toward scaling DTC, we're looking for someone who wants to help take wholesale to the next level.
This is an opportunity to join a small, entrepreneurial company, work directly with the founder, and make a measurable impact on a growing business.
The roleYou'll help grow Minori's wholesale business across the United States and Canada, working with an established network of retail, hotel and spa partners while developing recent opportunities.
You'll work closely with Minori's founder, who built the wholesale channel from the ground up, and gradually take on greater ownership as you learn the business.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities in sales data, following through relentlessly, and creating systems that make growth repeatable.
For the right person, this role offers a clear pathway to becoming Minori's Wholesale Manager as the business grows and you demonstrate results.
What you'll doAccount growth and retention
- Build relationships with our existing retail, hotel and spa partners, identifying opportunities to grow sales.
- Develop and execute structured reorder and account reactivation programs.
- Help expand our presence within hotel groups where Minori is already an approved vendor.
New business development
- Identify and develop new hotel, spa and independent retail partnerships.
- Work with our Canadian brokers and help identify potential US broker partners.
- Manage wholesale leads and sample requests,
ensuring timely, consistent follow-up from first contact through conversion.
Sales analysis and systems
- Analyze wholesale sales data to identify trends, opportunities and underperforming accounts.
- Help implement and maintain our CRM, keeping account information and sales opportunities organized.
- Bring together data from Faire, Shopify and QuickBooks to improve reporting and decision-making.
- Track key performance indicators, including revenue, new accounts, reorder rates and sales pipeline.
Retail marketing and trade shows
- Help develop our B2B email marketing program alongside our social media manager.
- Coordinate seasonal gifting programs, new product introductions and retail marketing initiatives.
- Plan and execute trade shows, from preparation and logistics to buyer appointments and follow-up.
- Support the founder with larger retail accounts and strategic partnerships.
Who we're looking for
- 1–4 years of experience in sales, account management, business development or a related commercial role, ideally in consumer goods, beauty or retail.
- Strong commercial instincts and genuine excitement about growing a business.
- Excellent organization and follow-through. You enjoy keeping track of details and making sure opportunities don't fall through the cracks.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, sales data and performance reports.
- Resourcefulness and curiosity. You're comfortable using AI tools and new technology to work more efficiently.
- Confidence communicating with partners by email, phone, video and in person.
- Fluent English and ability to travel to the United States for occasional trade shows and partner meetings.
- Don't have all the experience listed above? We're open to exceptional early-career candidates who have demonstrated initiative, curiosity and the ability to take on responsibilities beyond their experience level.
You don't need to have managed an entire wholesale channel before. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, stay organized, build relationships and take ownership of results.
Bonus points if you have:
- French-language skills
- Experience with Faire, Shopify, QuickBooks or HubSpot
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
- Experience with trade shows or wholesale account management
- Experience selling into independent retail, hotels or spas
- Experience working at a startup or growing consumer brand
- A degree in business, commerce or a related field
How you workYou're resourceful. When something's unclear, you investigate,
find answers and propose solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
You follow through. You know that a promising sales conversation means little without consistent follow-up.
You think in systems. If you do something three times, you start thinking about how to make the fourth time faster.
You're commercially curious. You enjoy understanding why something sells, why it doesn't, and what could make it perform better.
You like small teams. You're excited by the opportunity to wear different hats, learn directly from a founder and see the impact of your work.
What we offer
- $55,000 CAD annual base salary, plus a performance bonus tied to wholesale growth and agreed business objectives.
- A clear opportunity to grow into the Wholesale Manager position as you demonstrate results and the business expands.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with Minori's founder.
- A full-time, permanent position, with formal performance reviews at 90 and 180 days.
- Remote work to start, with a hybrid arrangement anticipated as our Montreal team grows.
- Occasional travel across Canada and the United States for trade shows and partner meetings.
- A flexible start date, accommodating your current notice period.
- Free Minori products.

We expect to make a decision by early December, with a January start. A note from Ana, Minori's founderMost of the roles I took on early in my career, I wasn't the obvious candidate for. I got them by learning faster than anyone expected me to, and by being willing to work hard for opportunities I hadn't yet earned on paper.
That's the kind of person I'm looking for.
If this role excites you and you don't match every requirement, apply anyway. Tell me why you think you'd be great at it.
