Our partner is looking for a Privacy Counsel based in Canada.This role offers the opportunity to help shape privacy and data protection practices across a rapidly evolving digital commerce environment. You will provide practical legal guidance across e-commerce, advertising, health, AI, data governance, and product development initiatives. Working closely with product, engineering, data science, advertising, and business teams, you will help embed privacy considerations into projects from the outset. The position combines strategic legal counseling with hands-on support for complex data use and regulatory matters. You will monitor global privacy developments and translate changing requirements into clear, actionable guidance.



Your work will help build a scalable privacy program that enables innovation while supporting responsible and compliant data practices.Monitor global privacy and data protection developments, including regulatory and enforcement trends, and translate them into practical guidance for business stakeholders.Advise product, engineering, data science, advertising, health, and business development teams on privacy requirements throughout the design and development lifecycle.Support privacy-by-design practices for recent products and initiatives across e-commerce, advertising, health, and AI-driven offerings.Advise on advertising-related privacy matters, including data use, audience targeting, measurement, consent, and appropriate restrictions on sensitive information.Review and help structure data-sharing arrangements involving retail partners, advertisers, vendors, and subsidiaries.Provide legal guidance on Data Processing Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, and international data
