Every Meridian project is thoughtfully designed to deliver comfort, style, luxury, efficiency, and long-term value.What You Will Be DoingAs a Crane & Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in supporting daily construction operations while ensuring all equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site safety requirements. You will work alongside experienced skilled labourer, carpenters and site supervisors to support the successful construction of a multi-unit wood-frame hotel project. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while assisting with a variety of carpentry and construction tasks.Operating the site self-erect crane to support construction activities for Meridian and multiple tradesSafely operating equipment including telehandlers, boom lifts, skid steers, and aerial work platformsPerforming daily equipment inspections, safety checks, and routine maintenance reportingCoordinating material movement and deliveries throughout the job siteAssisting with loading, unloading,



and staging of construction materialsMaintaining cleanliness and proper care of all equipmentSupporting site supervisors, sub-trades, and labour crews as requiredAssisting with general labour tasks and site operations when equipment operation is not requiredEnsuring all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, operating procedures, and company standardsMaintaining a clean, organized, and secure work environmentHow You Will SucceedThe ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. You are organized, adaptable, and communicate clearly with team members, trades, and site supervisors. You take pride in operating equipment safely and efficiently while contributing positively to the job site.What You Will NeedPrevious experience operating cranes with valid operator certification and/or licensingExperience operating telehandlers, boom lifts, skid steers, and aerial work platformsValid equipment operator tickets and certifications are considered an assetPrevious experience on residential, hotel, and/or commercial construction projectsValid driver's licenseStrong understanding of construction site safety proceduresAbility to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow instructions and work independently when requiredStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailAbility to perform well under pressure and meet project schedulesSteel-toed boots requiredWHMIS and Fall Protection certifications preferredPrevious hands-on construction labour experience is considered an asset
