Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ResponsibilitiesSupervise large groups of professionals and non‑professionals or small groups of specialized engineers, or act as a highly specialized technical engineer in the Power sector.Lead large or small projects.Commit to and maintain a project timeline and complete tasks within allocated time frames.Document and track project tasks and related design documents (strong organizational skills).Liaise with other discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors and clients to facilitate smooth flow of information for use in preparing preliminary and detailed design and provide design clarifications and solutions during construction.Possess strong computer‑oriented skills (familiarity with AutoCAD, MathCAD, MS Office, Numerical Methods Solutions,



etc.).Proficiency in STAAD Pro Software for Structural Analysis.Hands‑on expertise in the design of heavy industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry), preferably in the power generation industry, and Consulting Engineering experience desirable.Knowledge of power plant Station Structures and Components (SSCs) is an asset.Prepare and/or verify procurement activities and deliverables.Review technical content of supplier/vendor bids and technical submissions.Perform any required inspections as necessary for procurement of material.Robust communication skills.QualificationsUniversity Degree in Civil‑Structural Engineering or related discipline.12+ years of related engineering experience.Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.ENG.Preferably has previous exposure to stations, structures and components of Nuclear Power Plants.Experience within the utility or power industry.Proficiency in structural design for concrete and steel structures and use of STAAD Pro Software for Structural Analysis.Must be able to obtain a security clearance.CompensationThe expected annual compensation range for this position is$135,000 to $180,000 per annum.Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.Additional InformationA requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational and security) and professional reference checks are required.
