Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will partner with other Architects, Business System Analysts, Product Owners and other stakeholders to translate the functional and non-functional requirements into reusable architecture building blocks. Ensure all solutions are fully aligned with enterprise architecture, adhere to technology standards, follow industry best practices, and comply with regulatory requirements.Harvest reusable building blocks for reuse on other projects/programs. Support the development of business cases.Influence decision making and facilitate teams with multiple stakeholders at all levels in the organization.Collaborate with business and technology partners to translate requirements to technical design and act as the lead technical authority on the project.Manage multiple priorities and time-critical deliverables and take a leadership role in moving initiatives forward and removing roadblocks.Participate in technology evaluations.Qualifications7 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area in building cloud, digital solutions for mid to high complexity initiativesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to tackle complex technical and business challenges through creative and data-driven approaches.In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, architecture frameworks, and industry best practices.Expert knowledge of cloud engineering and architecture for Azure and AWS.Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertAWS: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – AssociatePreferredInsurance industry experience and working knowledge of insurance concepts and applications.Data science and data analytics experience, including machine learningPractical experience with Generative AI tooling, including MCP Server, GitHub Copilot, and Agentic AI platforms to enhance development efficiency and innovation.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) proficiency in tools that work across Azure and AWSCompensation and BenefitsAt Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is 95,000 – 145,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications.
