In this role, you will contribute to exciting and complex projects while working closely with Senior Designers, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams to bring design concepts through technical development and delivery. Depending on the project, you may take ownership of the design process for small to medium-sized projects or serve as a key design and technical resource on larger assignments. Experience working on Mass Timber projects is required.Business DevelopmentMay assist with business development by contributing to proposals, attending interviews, etc.Here's what you'll be doing at Kasian:Project PlanningWork with Project Manager (PM) or other Project Leader (Job Captain, Design Team Leader, etc.) to create work plans, drawing units, scope of services, budgets, and staffing requirementsIn cooperation with the PM,



review and monitor project scope and initiate corrective actions as requiredProject DeliveryAssist with the Kasian design process including creation of design concepts, presentation material, and required submission documentationParticipate in the production of successful design and contract documentation in alignment with Kasian's standards of quality, client program, and budget needsPrepare outline specifications and assist in detailed project specification developmentCoordinate building and development permit submissionsParticipate in client and public presentationsParticipate in design and production meetingsWork alongside the PM to build relationships with clients by proactively responding to program and budget requirementsWork with supervisor and authorities having jurisdiction to interpret and conform to codes and bylawsProperly maintain project recordsProject ReviewAdvise supervisor immediately of any project performance issues and work to resolve problems, including ongoing review of project quality and monitoring of budget and scheduleEnsure that competent peer reviews are conducted at project milestonesHere's what you bring to Kasian:Graduate of an accredited B.
