Job Description OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Lead Engineer to oversee the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of complex transmission line projects within our portfolio. In this leadership role, you will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensure technical excellence, and drive the successful execution of all transmission line–related engineering activities from concept through construction.Lead and review conceptual and detailed transmission line designs, including route selection, conductor selection, structure loading calculations, and optimum spotting.Analyze project scope, technical studies, and design basis documents to ensure alignment with client requirements and quality management systems.Prepare key engineering deliverables such as scopes of work, surveys, staking, construction reports, specifications, and design requirement drawings.Select materials and equipment, develop detailed specifications for procurement, construction, and installation activities.Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities, provide construction‑phase support, resolve site queries, and conduct site inspections.Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and designers; review calculations, drawings, and external/internal design submissions for accuracy and code compliance.Maintain strong technical knowledge to integrate appropriate technologies and ensure high‑quality, constructible engineering solutions.Manage documentation and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams,



clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.QualificationsDegree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.P.Eng. registration or equivalent.Minimum 15 years of experience in transmission and distribution line design.Proficiency with PLS CADD, PLS TOWER, and PLS POLE software.Demonstrated initiative, team spirit, and independence.Excellent communication skills in English; French as a second language is an asset.Strong organizational and time‑management skills.CompensationExpected compensation is between $125,000 - $171,900 annually.
