Operate machinery: Use routers, plunge routers, mortising routers, planers, beveling equipment, compound mitre saws, sanders, jointers, and standard hand or power tools safely. Build components: Cut, route, drill, and shape wood to create custom slabs, frames, and panels. Assemble systems: Glue, screw, clamp, and fasten door parts together while ensuring proper alignment and squarenessWe Need These Skills & ExperiencesAll the things youre good at because youve done most of these before Experience building traditional style-and-rail doors is a nice to have 1-2 years experience with joining, planning, shaping, fitting, and assembling hardwood components will be a significant asset. Solid knowledge of hardwoods, hardwood construction, and woodworking practices. Excellent measurement and layout skills. Proficiency with routers, plunge routers, mortising routers, planers, beveling equipment, and compound mitre saws. Ability to work accurately from measurements and drawings.
