CAD TechnicianKieswetter Excavating is a fourth-generation, family-owned heavy civil contractor with over 90 years in business, delivering many of Waterloo Region's high-profile projects across excavating, grading, site servicing, sewer and watermain, earthwork, concrete, demolition, and aggregates. We're hiring a CAD Technician to support our field teams with grade control, layout, and site data — with some exposure to our estimating process as well.The RoleYou'll be the point person for machine control files, drone-based site data, and layout accuracy across our active job sites, working closely with field supervision and our survey team. You'll also get some exposure to our estimating process along the way.What You'll DoBuild and maintain GPS grade files and machine control models for field crewsFly and process drone surveys for site topography, volumes, and progress trackingReview site layouts and grading plans for accuracy against design drawingsSupport quality control on granular materials and aggregate placementCoordinate with survey and field supervision on staking, layout issues,
