We are seeking a creative, energetic, committed professional to join our team: FINANCIAL ANALYST Location: OCDSB Administration Building; 133 Greenbank Road Position Status: 1.0 Regular, Full-time Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week Affiliation: Union-Exempt Salary Range: $79,091 to $93,069 (Level 5) Job Summary Reporting to the Team Manager, the Financial Analyst supports the Finance Department and the District’s Indigenous Education Programs with the day-to-day financial operations, financial reporting, analysis, controls, and the preparation of the budgets.



The Analyst also provides financial information and timely data to various government entities including the Ministry of Education and provides financial guidance and support to Indigenous Education Program staff to ensure accurate entries, program monitoring, and financial reporting are completed. Qualifications Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or a related field and four (4) years of experience in accounting, payroll, internal control systems, budgeting and computerized accounting systems. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Ability to perform end-to-end financial functions and Ministry of Education financial reporting cycle (Estimates, Revised Estimates and Financial Statements), including maintaining accounting books, records, and monthly reconciliation statements.
