They are seeking a Manual Lathe Machinist to join their team!ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are being made according to specificationsCalculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gaugesSelect the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery workSet up and secure holding fixtures,
cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machineWork from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specificationsMachine parts to specifications using machine tools such as manual mills/lathes, drill press, sanders, grinders, and other support equipment to perform precision machining operationsWork in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standardsOther duties assignedRequirementsMinimum 3-5 years of machining experienceDemonstrated Ability to Utilize Measuring Equipment in support of Quality RequirementsAbility to Read and Interpret Blueprints and SketchesAbility to hold tight machining tolerances (1/2 thou)Ability to Understand various Tooling TechnologyMust possess solid attention to detail
