Position SummaryThe Welder/Fitter is responsible for fitting, fabricating, and welding metal components and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports shop production activities and ensures that all work meets safety, quality, and productivity expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication & WeldingRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsFit and assemble metal components for weldingPerform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as requiredPerform 6G TSSA WeldingOperate fabrication equipment including grinders, torches, drills, and sawsInspect welds to ensure structural integrity and quality complianceAssist in layout and measurement of materialsShop OperationsMaintain a clean and organized work areaOperating overhead crane at timesPerform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concernsSupport continuous improvement and productivity initiativesCollaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targetsHealth & SafetyFollow all Soluroc safety policies and shop proceduresWear required PPE at all timesParticipate in safety meetings and trainingReport hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediatelyQualifications & ExperienceWelder/Fitter certification or equivalent experience preferred6G TSSA Coupon is an asset.2+ years of fabrication and welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing settingProficiency in Pipe fitting and welding.MIG welding (TIG and Stick considered an asset)Overhead Crane experience or certification is an assetAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbolsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience operating overhead cranes or forklifts considered an assetWhy Join Soluroc?Established and growing industrial manufacturing companySafety-focused cultureSkilled trades environment with contemporary equipmentOpportunities for advancement and skill development
