Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is seeking a Financial Controller to support both our Valiant Machine & Tool and Valiant International divisions.In this role, you will lead and oversee all financial accounting activities across multiple business units, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and alignment with corporate policies. You will provide strategic financial leadership and insights to senior management through detailed analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting—enabling informed decision-making and supporting continued growth.You will also lead and guide a cross‑functional finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Operations Accounting, and Financial Analysts, ensuring cohesive financial operations across the organization.What You’ll Get To DoLead and oversee all financial accounting functions across Valiant Machine & Tool and Valiant InternationalProvide leadership, direction, and development for the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Operational Accounting, and Financial AnalystsAnalyze and interpret financial and statistical data to evaluate project profitability and overall business performanceAssess the fiscal health and operational efficiency of the organization and provide actionable recommendationsEnsure management information systems effectively support financial reporting and operational decision‑makingOversee or assume responsibility for core financial functions,



including:Accounts receivable and collectionsAccounts payable and vendor managementProject cost tracking and reportingCost center accountingGeneral ledger maintenance and reconciliationLead the preparation, coordination, and development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plansManage audit processes and ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements, including:Income taxSales taxProperty taxCustoms dutiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing financial reporting processes, systems, and toolsPartner with leadership to provide financial insights that drive operational and strategic decision‑makingEnsure protection and proper stewardship of company assetsWhat We Are Looking ForA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceProfessional accounting designation (CPA) preferred8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership experienceStrong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisExperience in manufacturing and/or project‑based environments is strongly preferredAdvanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications,



particularly ExcelStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and project costingProven leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage high‑performing teamsHighly detail‑oriented and organized, with a strong commitment to accuracyExcellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organizationMust be legally authorized to work in Canada.
